Black Sesame Puree is one of my favorite dessert drinks. Not only because it’s super tasting, but also because it’s extremely healthy. According to Chinese old sayings, eating black sesame or black bean, it will make your grey hairs to turn black. Since I have a lot of grey hairs now, really should start to eat black sesame seeds and black beans more often.

This recipe is super easy too, only the difficult part is washing the sesame seeds, since the washing process requires some work, I always wash a few packs of sesame seeds, roast them all at once, and store them in a big container. Whenever I need to make the black sesame puree, I just need to grab the roasted sesame seeds from the container, very simple!

In traditional Chinese Medicine black sesame seeds are considered as one of the best anti-aging foods. Along with nourishing the scalp and stimulating hair growth, black sesame seeds can promote melanocyte activity to produce melanin – the pigment responsible for hair and skin color.

Chinese Medicine considers the hair and skin to be an external mirror of the body’s internal state of health. The hair is said to be nourished by the Blood and the skin receives moisture from the body’s Yin. When the Yin is affected it can cause dry or itchy skin. And when blood is deficient it may cause hair loss and grey hair.

Black Sesame Seed can nourish the body organs, the Blood and the Yin, bringing nutrition to the hair and skin. While you apply creams, oils and hair masks, regularly eating a tablespoon of black sesame seeds will help solve the root of the problem.

Except this, black sesame seeds also have zillions of other health benefits. Like Protecting your bone health, preventing cancer, good for cardiovascular health, Improving eye health and etc.

Too many benefits to describe from this recipe, but the most westerns don’t know how to consume black sesame seeds correctly and deliciously. This recipe can help you with that.

The following recipe is also using Automatic Soy Milk Maker

I bought this Joyoung brand in 2013 since then I have been using it almost everyday.

Sweet dates also called Sweet Medjools, I used the sweet dates to add the sweet taste, so no sugar is necessary to add. I bought the dates from Costco, if there is not Costco close by, you can buy from Amazon as well.

Wash all the ingredients, and remove pits from the sweet dates.

Turn on the oven to medium heat, slowly roasted all black sesame seeds if it's your first time making it or when you finished all the roasted black sesame seeds.

Add roasted black sesame seeds, Oatmeal, and the sweet dates with water into the soy milk machine until the maximum line.

Cover the soy milk machine with lid and press “Select” button to select "Double Thick" or “Rice Paste” program. I have tested both, they are very similar, no difference. Then press “start” button. It takes about 25 minutes to finish the program.

When the program completed, you will hear the beeping sound. Now you can unplug the machine and open the lid. It's ready to serve now! Enjoy!

If you desire sweeter taste, you can add honey or sugar as you desired.

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
The issue is something too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy that I came across this during my hunt
for something relating to this.
