I am cruising to Bermuda for a vacation next week. So excited, I haven’t really taken any vacation this year yet, can’t wait to swim and snorkel in turquoise color of Bermuda water and lay down on the pink sand. Before going on to my vacation, I need to clean up my fridge a little bit. Since I bought a big honeydew the other day, need to finish it before my vacation.
Honeydew Smoothie has very refreshing taste and good for summer and early hot autumn. I used to go to belly dancing everyday after work, and go swimming on every weekend. Recently I stopped taking belly dancing classes, and started to gain a few extra pounds. I need to start watching my weight closely and eating less since I don’t exercise as much as before. Smoothie is prefect substitute to a heavy meal. Even for breakfast, Honeydew smoothie should be a perfect starter for a day.
Honeydew Smoothie is simple, light and has a unique and refresh flavor. The honeydew that I cut up was so sweet on it’s own I didn’t even have to add any sweetener. If your honeydew leaves a bit to be desired in the sweetness department, feel free to add in a tablespoon of agave syrup or honey.
Also I added lemon juice to the recipe to add more freshness and a little bit sour taste to balance out the sweetness. Unsweetened Almond/Coconut milk can be substitute to other kind of Milk for example Soy Milk etc or even cold water. If you are not a vegan, and prefer regular milk, you can use milk instead.
